| The "Z" is the big event of the year
for the Flagstaff Exchange Club. It is our #1
way of raising funds to support our service
projects. Always held the evening of the first
Monday in May, Flagstaff men and women come together
for a memorable evening of dinner, auctions, and
prizes. . . . . .and more prizes. Everyone who
buys a ticket is guaranteed a prize.
When the "Z" was started, the first prize was
actually a "Z". But as automobile prices
increased, the first prize is now $10,000 (not
exactly small potatoes even in today's economy)!
Sure, it's a social event. It's a chance to
win a prize -- even a very big one. But it's
much more than that. It's an opportunity to
support organizations that help prevent child
abuses, support Americanism, and support other
worthwhile projects of Flagstaff non-profit
organizations.
